A water resistant backpack means that water can’t go into the bag through fabric at a certain point, it requests a water repellent fabric and zipper, water is able to break through after a long time, that means water resistant bag can be used during rainy days, a high quality water resistant bag can meet IPX5-6 .
A waterproof bag is completely preventing water from going into the bag. Material and technology are important factors of waterproofing. However, to achieve a waterproof bag, airtight zipper and welded technology are much more important. To say simply, a waterproof bag can be widely used for outdoor activities, like camping, boating, fishing, swimming or cycling. IPX 6 and IPX7 are applicable for waterproof bag to prove the features.
